Identity Documents have their own specific needs in terms of security and that is why we have created our HelioID product category. This not only covers the traditional printing inks for processes like intaglio, offset or screen but also highly durable inkjet inks as well as passport stitching threads which feature special properties.

All our inks differentiate themselves through their easy printability in all the regular print processes used in the production of Identity Documents as well as the very low waste levels. Apart from this our inks are market-leading in terms of sustainability, LSCS was the first company to offer Cobalt-Free inks for the offset and Intaglio Process. All our inks can be formulated to incorporate features such as UV Fluorescence, Infra-red machine readability, and our unique taggants.

For printing in-between polycarbonate layers we offer our innovative range of PolyFast inks which are suitable for a wide range of printing and curing methods, and can be formulated with various security features. These inks are highly stable for most commonly used lamination processes up to 200°C.

Our innovative inkjet inks can be printed on top of any polycarbonate substrate and adhere to the strict ICAO and ISO guidelines in terms of Physical Durability, just like our other inks these can also feature properties such as fluorescence, machine readability and unique taggants.

Our stitching threads are used on the vast majority of passports around the world and are tailor-made to meet your specific needs in terms of security features, thread construction and durability.

SECURITY THREADS

Luminescence Sun Chemical Security stitching threads are used on a variety of bound security documents such as passports, passbooks and bank books. Our specialised threads can offer a range of security features on various materials. These threads provide a simple quick check at inspection both in visible as well as under UV light, threads are an integral part of the document and also provide tamper evidence should a forger try to remove or substitute any pages.

A wide range of options

Our threads are available as Single or Multicoloured twisted threads;

Single threads are available in almost any colour and can fluoresce Red, Orange, Green, Yellow, Gold, Blue when exposed to UV light. Extra security features can be added to these such as short wave UV (245nm lamp is required for this feature) or IR 980nm colour up converters (Laser pen or IR to Green T50 Reader is required for this feature).

Multicoloured twisted threads are available in 2 or 3 plies in a range of visible colour combinations and are often used to make a thread in the national colours of a country. These threads are available with all the features of a single thread and can be combined to the customers requirement.
